Golden Globes- Tis the season...


British film drama Atonement is in the lead, having been nominated for seven awards. Critics' favorites James McAvoy and Keira Knightley have been shortlisted for the World War II story.Tim Burton's Sweeney Todd received a slew of nods for both the film and its cast. No Country for Old Men scored big, as did sleeper hit Juno. Michael Clayton racked up a score of nominations, too. The film's stars, George Clooney, Tilda Swinton and Tom Wilkinson were all commended. Julia Roberts and Philip Seymour Hoffman were nominated for supporting roles in Charlie Wilson's War.
Angelina Jolie snagged a Best Actress nomination for her dramatic role in A Mighty Heart. Viggo Mortensen will battle for best actor against American Gangster's Denzel Washington and There Will Be Blood's Daniel Day Lewis. TV favorites nominated included House, Big Love and Extras.
