Madonna has recently been linked to the New York Yankees baseball star Alex Rodriguez and sparked rumours of an affair as A-Rod's wife, Cynthia Rodriguez, filed for divorce and the star became a follower of Kabbalah, Madonna's religion.
The '4 Minutes' singer has now come out and said she has nothing to do with Rodriguez' divorce from his wife Cythia and is not considering splitting from British film director Guy Ritchie, her husband of seven years. She said in a statement "My husband and I are not planning on getting a divorce. I know Alex Rodriguez through Guy Oseary, who manages both of us. I brought my kids to a Yankee game. I am not romantically involved in any way with Alex Rodriguez. I have nothing to do with the state of his marriage or what spiritual path he may choose to study. I have learned over the years not to take accusations and the many false reports about me very seriously. I also appreciate how fiction and fact seem to be perceived as one and the same by people who read both newspapers and the internet."
It has been reported that A-Rod had visited Madonna's New York apartment on several occasions late at night. Recently surfaced rumours also say one of the reasons Cynthia Rodriguez is divorcing her husband is his choice to join the mystical Jewish faith, Kabbalah, which Madonna belongs to.
In the meantime, Madonna and Ritchie are putting up a united front, making frequent appearances as a family, together with their three children, Lourdes (11) Rocco (7) and two-year-old David.
